WHAT IS THE SOUPER BOWL ANYWAY?

The SouperBowl is Creekside Cooperative Charter School's annual fundraising event. It is a day for the family and friends of the Creekside community to come together to celebrate our school and our local community. It is open to anyone who wishes to attend. The idea of the Souperbowl is simple: eat soup made by local chefs out of bowls made by local students!

Each student at Creekside paints a ceramic bowl in the weeks prior to the Souperbowl. (Anyone else who is planning on attending the event can also paint a bowl, for a prearranged price, at the local pottery studio.) At the event, the bowls are displayed and every person who has painted can use their bowl to eat a delicious meal of soup and salad created by local chefs. Also on tap for the evening: a silent auction, a live auction, student performances, displays of student work, games, crafts, desserts and fun!

This is a fundraising effort to support our enrichment programs. The programs include daily Spanish instruction, and weekly science, music, art and p.e. programs. To help raise funds admission tickets are sold to the general public and extended family members. Also, we rely on donations from the community to support our live and silent auctions.

You can expect to see lots of games and crafts for the children at the event, as well as a “kids cubby” area for smaller children to play. Also, Creekside students will be performing and on display will be lots of art and other enrichment related work. This is a collaborative effort between parents, teachers, students and community members. In order to make this event a success, we need the help of every person who is willing to volunteer time, ideas or material goods.

We invite one and all to attend and celebrate our amazing students and incredible community!
